The Disabled Rights Action Committee has fought long and hard for people with disabilities to live their lives in their own communities in the least restrictive environment.

In a recent KSL article from March 22, 2017 on the repeal of Obamacare, Barbara Toomer the Secretary Treasurer for DRAC commented that disability rights will eventually have an impact everybody.

“Ninety-five percent of us become disabled before we die, 95 percent.”

Disability Services Are Available

Many live with disabilities and cannot easily do the things that able bodied citizens do every day.
People with disabilities face issues daily that would not seem be a problem to someone without a disability.

Things like an ATM machine being out of reach for a person in a wheelchair.

Or while shopping, can you get through aisles to look at merchandise or are the aisles too narrow for a wheelchair? …and can you easily access the credit card machines at the check stand? Could a person in a wheelchair?

Or maybe you would like to go out to eat tonight. Will your wheelchair fit under the table at your favorite restaurant???

For years DRAC has been fighting for accessibility for all, and we continue to fight.
